Program up to 32 preselected programs to watch what you want, when you
want. In addition, the Philips DSHD800R HD system features automatic VCR
recording capability, powered by one-button record technology.
CUSTOM NAME 'FAVORITES' LISTS
Organize the channels into convenient programming lists, then customize
them with names you choose. (Example: "Dad's Faves," "Mom's
Faves.") Each name can be up to 10 characters long, including spaces.
WatchWord SEARCH
Choose up to 8 'catch' words or names to identify programming that interests
you, and the Philips DSHD800R will search DIRECTV program titles and descriptions
for those key words and alert you of those programs on the WatchWord onscreen
guide.
DIGITAL AND ANALOG OFF-AIR READY
For those who live in areas not served by DIRECTV's local channel service,
the Philips DSHD800R receiver allows you to connect with your off-air
antenna or cable service for local channel reception.
